After taking the world’s No. 2 position in terms of market share from Apple, Huawei is actively trying to take Samsung’s No. 1 position.
If the number 2 guy has clearly expressed his determination, the number 1 guy must definitely have an answer: this year, Samsung is expected to bring Snapdragon 845 to mid-range smartphones.
Identity leads
If the two leaders are looking to enter the configuration race, Xiaomi has reason to be concerned: both of its most popular (and most expensive) products recently are Mi 8 and Poco.
But Samsung and Huawei are different.
If you want to conquer luxury, you must have your own identity.
These high-end identities are gradually penetrating the mid-range segment.
What to bring down?
When the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note9 are still `only` using dual lenses, the appearance of the Galaxy A9 and Galaxy A7 is like a warning from the Korean giant to its competitors: Samsung this year will decide to `eat`
So does Huawei.
Xiaomi, once again, still has nothing but configuration.
Ironically, this strength is gradually losing its meaning.
When AI can be used to optimize performance, this gap will narrow even further.
Smartphone is smooth enough
More importantly, a large number of users do not care too much about configuration – they just need a smartphone that is `smooth` enough.
And the 4 lenses or selfie beauty algorithms on Galaxy or Honor phones using Snapdragon 8xx or Kirin 9xx chips could be the killing blow for Xiaomi.
