Hello Faya Miah, I know that you are a Vietnamese girl who is very famous in America.
My name is Minh Hoang, 30 years old this year, I currently live and work in Los Angeles (USA).
I went to the US to study abroad at the age of 18 because I received a full scholarship from Washington State University.
Faya Miah is currently a famous speech therapist, model, and blogger.
When you first came to America, did you encounter any shock?
I have experienced 2 shocks.
Being native speakers, English is easy for them.
This industry is very picky about students and extremely difficult to enter, even for native speakers.
To enter this field, students need to have an absolutely high GPA (95-100%);
The second shock was when I went to study for a master’s degree, I wanted to focus on studying so I didn’t go home to visit.
When I returned to Vietnam to visit home, it was March 2018. Everything had changed so much.
To get her current job (phonetic therapist in America-nv), the young girl had to make endless efforts. It seems like there was a time when you were depressed?
Depression is when I have to compete with my native friends to get a ticket to study as a speech therapist.
Why did you choose to study as a speech therapist?
I want to become a speech therapist because when I was little, my grandmother often took me to visit children with cleft lips and jaws in orphanages.
I had the opportunity to meet and admire the therapists of Operation Smiles (Smile Surgery Organization – PV) while they went to Vietnam to operate and treat children.
I really want to have the opportunity to return to Vietnam to contribute my efforts and abilities to the people in Vietnam.
As a beautiful and hot girl, how do you overcome the pitfalls and achieve such ‘huge’ academic achievements?
It’s not easy at all.
Not everyone has the same opportunities as me, plus the effort my grandmother put into raising me, so I think those pitfalls are not worth wasting my opportunities and abilities.
Furthermore, life always needs balance.
In the US, do you participate in charity or community-oriented activities?
I was involved in helping homeless or abused women when I lived in Washington State.
Thank you for sharing!
